My Freshman Year and Mind at Work
In My Freshman Year I agreed with the author about how it is easier to make friends when people have in common similar hobbies. I agree with this statement because if someone has one common interest then they most likely have another interest in common and by talking they could become friends. I also agree that it is harder for international students to make friends because they are not accustomed to America's ways. I just think this because they are from another country and in the reading the students that she interviewed pointed out differences between their country and America. In the Mind at Work I liked how the author went into depth about how much it takes to be a waitress. It also made me think about how hard their job can be from a customers perspective. I also like how the author explained all parts of the restaurant and how they contribute and how important they are to one another.
